Kelso to locate in Minneapolis
(Minneapolis, Minn.) Kelso Industries is building a new headquarters in downtown Minneapolis.
The Minneapolis Redevelopment Agency is guaranteeing the financing of the 25-story building and contributing up to $5 million to landscape the public areas around the building and improve the surrounding streets. The project is estimated to last 18 months. The architect is Weber and Associates and the contractor is Rudolph and Sletten.
The 40 million dollar project is part of a downtown development effort to keep major corporations in the heart of city.
“Not only are we building in one of the fastest growing economies in Minnesota, but we’re bringing a new life to the city when we build this new headquarters. A new infrastructure of jobs and an economic boost will come with this project,” said Bill Meyers, CEO of Kelso Industries.
Kelso Industries is a diversified manufacturer of building products and the owner of a hardware chain, Kelso Supplies, with more than 100 stores throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
